Welcome to the Oberniederhof.

Our farm is located in the village of Unser Frau at an altitude of 1450 m. We are in the middle of the Schnalstal Valley and our valley is ideal for mountaineering, walking, mountainbiking, skiing and snowboarding. We have a glacier where you can ski year around. Since 1996 we are member of the organisation “Bioland-South Tyrol”, which means that we are working under the controlled rules of organic farming.

 

The oldest part of the complex dates from 1290. In the past the “Niederhof “was used as a farm, a pub and a court. In 1991 the current owner Johann Tappeiner took over the farm from his father, who himself inherited it 30 years ago from his uncle. For more than 250 years the farm has been designated the same family, we can call him “Erbhof”, witch is a precious title given to certain farmers.
